Earlier this year, my artwork, Far Haven regulus36.deviantart.com/art/F…, was featured on the cover of War & Space: Recent Combat, the latest science fiction anthology from Prime Books :D. It was reviewed recently on io9.com io9.com/5928850/some-of-the-co…. You can pick up the book on the publishers website www.prime-books.com/shop/print… and from Amazon www.amazon.com/War-Space-Recen… also. Go read it and experience the awesomeness! :smoking:

PS the actual title is War & Space: Recent Combat (with an ampersand, but DA won't allow me to include an ampersand in the journal title :P)

New art!

February?! My last art posted was four months ago!?! :omfg: Jeez that's not very good. Well I've finally put up a new one, titled 'Midnight Voyage' regulus36.deviantart.com/art/M… it's been in the works for a while, but i finally found some time to finish it up. And I'm a complete slacker when it comes to replying to comments apparently :D but I do read and appreciate them - thanks!

In the future look for my art portraying different stages of the Startram project. In a nutshell, Startram is a system to use MagLev technology to launch stuff into space. You can read more on their website www.startram.com/ and check out the forum: startramfans.com/ With an initial investment, this could turn into a low cost alternative to current rocket tech. As it is now, it costs something like $20 million US to put someone on the ISS, and almost $10,000 just to get a kilogram into low Earth orbit. With Startram, the costs of electrical energy to reach orbital speed is less than $1 a kilogram, and you basically just have to accelerate it and away it goes (ok it's a little more complicated, but it's probably safer than riding a pillar of fire into the sky :P). Yes it takes a large initial investment and there will be pitfalls, but it just might be worth it to get humanity on the road to the stars.

On a side note, we're still working on the Zodiac project currentsofspace.blogspot.com/p… , so if anyone is interested, check it out and send me an email.

:peace:
